Cara Buono is an American actress known for her roles as Dr. Faye Miller in the fourth season of the AMC drama series Mad Men, Linda Salvo in the 2006 comedy Artie Lange’s Beer League, Kelli Moltisanti in the sixth season of The Sopranos and Karen Wheeler in the 2016 horror sci-fi Netflix original series Stranger Things. Buono has appeared in such films as Hulk in 2003 and Let Me In in 2010.

Much of her work has been in indie films such as Chutney Popcorn in 1999, Happy Accidents in 2000, Next Stop Wonderland in 1998 and Two Ninas in 1999, which she co-produced. Buono played a small role as a young Gerry Cummins in the TV movie, Deep in My Heart in 1999.
Buono has written, directed and produced films, inclusive of the short film Baggage in 1997, which starred Liev Schreiber. Buono and Brad Anderson wrote the screenplay When the Cat’s Away sold a pitch to Miramax for a screenplay adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s This Side of Paradise. Buono starred in the final season of the NBC drama Third Watch in 1999 as paramedic Grace Foster, and Ang Lee’s adaptation of Marvel Comics’ Hulk in 2003 as the mother of the title character’s alter ego, Bruce Banner.
Buono also appeared in the wife of Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli) as Kelli, in the two-part final season of the HBO drama series The Sopranos, which aired in 2006 and 2007. In addition she appeared in the fourth season of the AMC drama series Mad Men as Dr. Faye Miller, for which she received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2011.
